Pump It Up Workshop

The perfect workshop to energise your next event

Every conference and training day has its quiet times; refresh and spark up your people with this energising half hour workshop.

Fun and engaging, this workshop will get your team learning the basic ukulele chords and belting out a song all within the session time.  Create harmony, connection and joy with your attendees through the power of music giving them an experience they won’t forget.

Developed by Stephanie Ney, a classically trained pianist and ukulele hobbyist, the aim of this workshop is to get people back into their bodies and hearts and get the energy pumping.  Other benefits include new learning skills, creative expression, team building, and morale making.  Best for groups of up to 12 people.

“We engaged Uko Ono to run a Ukulele workshop at the Regional Wellbeing Masterclass, a one day professional development event for local community workers and psychologists.  Participants were invited to get involved and try a new activity that is fun and creative and aids in looking after their own wellbeing.  The feedback we received from participants was overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic.  They loved it!”

Gary Maher, Community Engagement and Development Officer, headspace Coffs Harbour

Stephanie Ney

Stephanie has been working in the Arts for the past twenty years as an administrator, presenter, project officer and fundraiser. Returning to her childhood passion for music, Stephanie started Uko Ono as a way to share the magic of music through the ukulele, otherwise known as the Instrument of Joy.

Today she leads community ukulele choirs and presents a variety of ukulele workshops.  Her hands-on style and vigour for joy make her workshops accessible, fun and suitable for any level of musical experience.
