Get Your Groove On Workshop

The perfect workshop to bond

Music is a great way to bond.  It brings people together by reaching across barriers of language, age, nationality, job title, status and culture.  Anyone who has played in a band or sung in a choir knows the feeling of connection and joy that comes with participating in music.

But you don’t have to have any musical talent to play the ukulele.  It can be taught quickly, giving participants instant gratification and a sense of achievement.

Give your people an experience they won’t forget.  Fun and engaging, this 60-90 minute workshop will get your team working together in harmony as they learn the basic ukulele chords and rock out some songs.

The workshop includes the hire of instruments plus a take home songbook so participants can continue to learn and play.

“What can I say… pure joy!  Utterly professional, an absolute delight to work with. Stephanie delivered a workshop as a component of some of our recent team building work. Her workshop brings so much energy and joy which really sparked the room. Stephanie’s delivery skillfully aligned to our learning outcomes for the day. The whole process of working with Stephanie was simple, delightful and inspiring.”

Your teacher…

Stephanie Ney

Stephanie has been working in the Arts for the past twenty years as an administrator, presenter, project officer and fundraiser. Returning to her childhood passion for music, Stephanie started Uko Ono as a way to share the magic of music through the ukulele, otherwise known as the Instrument of Joy.

Today she leads community ukulele choirs and presents a variety of ukulele workshops.  Her hands-on style and vigour for joy make her workshops accessible, fun and suitable for any level of musical experience.
