Work it like a Rockstar Workshop

A powerful way to connect people

Making music together is a powerful way to connect people and drive innovation and creativity.  Singing and playing instruments with others demands concentration, listening, cooperation, and precision – all of these elements combined can improve communication and create a strong team-feeling.

But this three hour workshop is so much more than that.  Get your people together for a rollicking good time as up to 12 participants learn the basic ukulele chords, master a rocking song and form two bands who will battle it out for musical supremacy.  Participants will take on a ‘rock-star’ persona, complete with fancy dress, and receive personal portrait shots, band photos and performance video to share with colleagues and friends.

The workshop also includes the hire of ukuleles plus a take home songbook so participants can continue to learn and play.  No musical talent required; guaranteed to bring the rock star out in everyone.

“I could not praise Stephanie from Uko Ono highly enough.  She brings an abundance of joy and happiness to your workplace and radiates her passion for music and the ukulele.  Having her lead the group was a great team building exercise and allowed us to share plenty of laughter and fun together.  This new energy in the business is really valuable for both our team and our clients.  I would definitely recommend Uko Ono to any business owner or manager looking to bring some fun and energy to their workplace.”

Stephanie has been working in the Arts for the past twenty years as an administrator, presenter, project officer and fundraiser. Returning to her childhood passion for music, Stephanie started Uko Ono as a way to share the magic of music through the ukulele, otherwise known as the Instrument of Joy.

Today she leads community ukulele choirs and presents a variety of ukulele workshops.  Her hands-on style and vigour for joy make her workshops accessible, fun and suitable for any level of musical experience.
